Gotta love Westside Road! An hour-long stretch of winding curves and stunning lake views—what more could a rider ask for?

Riding Westside Road is always a thrill, but it's not without its hazards. Wildlife like deer and bighorn sheep are common sights, so stay alert. Some sections of the road have no guardrails, and veering off could mean a steep drop straight down to the lake—so caution is a must.

Also, be aware that recent crack sealing on the north end has left the pavement covered in "tar snakes," especially in the southbound lane. These patches can get slippery under motorcycle tires, so it’s best to ease up on the throttle and ride smooth through those areas to maintain traction.

To see this route on a map, select the "ROUTE: CO-A1 - Westside Road" layer on the Central Okanagan map.

I respectfully acknowledge that this route is located on the traditional and unceded territory of the Syilx (Okanagan) people.
